This Privacy Policy explains how Dreams Deals (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses and protects information when you visit dreams.deals (the “Site”). Dreams Deals is a curated directory of lifetime software deals. We do not sell software ourselves: when you buy a deal, the purchase is completed on a third-party website.
Information we collect
Information you give us
- Reviews and comments. When you leave a review, we collect the name, email address and optional website you enter, your rating, the text of your review, your IP address and your browser’s user agent. Your email address is never shown publicly.
- Newsletter. If you subscribe to our newsletter, we collect your email address so we can send you deal updates.
- Messages. If you contact us, we keep the information you send so we can reply.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Like most websites, our server records technical data such as your IP address, browser type, the pages you request and the date and time of each request. We use these logs to keep the Site secure and working.
- Cookies and local storage. See “Cookies and your consent” below.
We do not currently use advertising trackers or third-party analytics on the Site. If that changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
Cookies and your consent
When you first visit the Site, a banner lets you accept or reject optional cookies with equal ease, or choose by category. Optional services are only loaded after you agree. You can change or withdraw your choice at any time using the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before.

To show that we respect your choice, we keep a record of each consent decision: the random consent ID, the categories you chose, the date and time, the page, your browser’s user agent and a one-way hash of your IP address (we do not store the IP address itself). These records are deleted after three years.
Affiliate links
Many links on the Site point to partner stores, such as Dealify, and include an affiliate referral code. If you click one of these links and make a purchase, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. The partner store may use cookies to record that you arrived from our Site. Purchases, payments, refunds and account data are handled entirely by that store, and its own privacy policy and terms apply. We never see or store your payment details.
Third-party services
- Fonts. All fonts are hosted on our own server. No data is sent to Google Fonts or any other font provider.
- Embedded videos. Some deal pages include demo videos from YouTube or Vimeo. They are only loaded if you consent to external media, or when you choose to load a specific video. Once loaded, those services may collect data, use cookies and track your interaction with the video. YouTube videos use YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode.
- Avatars. Profile pictures next to reviews are generated on our server from the reviewer’s initial. We do not use Gravatar.
- Hosting. The Site is hosted on servers operated by our hosting provider, which processes data on our behalf only to run the Site.
How we use information
- To publish and moderate reviews.
- To send the newsletter you subscribed to.
- To answer your messages.
- To keep the Site secure, prevent spam and fix problems.
- To understand which deals are useful so we can improve the Site.
We do not sell your personal information.
Legal bases (EEA and UK visitors)
We process personal data on the basis of your consent (for example, newsletter sign-up and saved review details), our legitimate interests in running and securing the Site, and, where applicable, compliance with legal obligations.
How long we keep information
- Reviews and their metadata are kept for as long as the review is published.
- Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
- Server logs are kept for a limited period and then deleted.
- Consent records are kept for three years, and your cookie choice is stored in your browser for six months, after which we ask again.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the GDPR, the UK GDPR, Brazil’s LGPD and California privacy laws, you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict its processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. You can also ask us to send you a copy of the data we hold about you. To make a request, contact us using the details below. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
Children
The Site is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them.
Security
The Site is served over HTTPS, and we take reasonable measures to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
